「 Greatly Blessed, Highly Favoured, Deeply Loved 9:14 PM 」

Review of 3 Idiots

This is the first time I ever gone to a cinema meant for Tamils. Since Brennan highly recommend and treat the show, I together with another 2 colleagues went for the show.

The show is only screened at REX which is a cinema meant for the Tamils. All the shows are in Tamil. I wasn't too convinced about how nice the show but the way he bragged about it, I thought no harm giving it a shot. Indeed, this was one of the best shows ever!

The story begins with two best friends together with a challenger to find Rancho, their best friend. The challenger wanted to prove that he is more successful after many years compared to Rancho. In addition, the challenger is supposed to have a deal with one of the most renowned scientist, Sandra Wangdu due to his invention after challenging and finding Rancho.

Upon flashback, Rancho was an extraordinary student in university known for his passion for learning and engineering. He has the guts and courage not found in an ordinary student. I was deeply moved and motivated by his desire to learn and apply knowledge learnt to situations. One interesting scene was when the professor presented the students about this fountain pen invented after spending millions of dollars to be used by astronauts in space. As ordinary pen could not be used due to the absence of gravity, the pen was created.

Rancho raised a question that shocked the professor:"If pen could not be used in space, why not use a pencil, then we can save millions?" Interesting question huh?

The story continues with him encouraging his two friends that if one will to "Pursue excellence, success will chase after him or her" Sounds like when you seek and pursue Jesus, success will hunt you down. Throughout the show, he challenged the norm and seek for better teaching methods by showing the professor how ineffective as a professor he is.

He invented on an machine that was created by another student and caused it to be able to fly.

Most amazingly, he managed to deliver a baby in a table tennis room. Due to the pregnancy difficulty, he have to use a vacuum suction equipment to suck out the baby. However, due to the power failure, he managed to create the equipment through use of car batteries, vacuum cleaner and rubber pads in the midst of the chaos. Awesome feat!!!!

The best part of the story was the twist when Rancho is not his real name. He actually studied and obtain the degree on behalf of someone who is rich and famous. After obtaining the certificate, he left the country. After much search by his friends, finally he was found in a village being a teacher. Many of the items were invented using simple machines to make chores more simple.

The friends finally brought his girlfriend and find him. Just as the challenger was mocking him due to his incompetency in being just a village teacher, Rancho revealed his real name Sandra Wangdu, the famous scientist that the challenger is looking for! Awesome movie! The best I ever saw, one that made me cry and laugh then cry and then laugh.
