Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him[b] because He first loved us.

1 John 4:15

God is love. I always used to wonder what does it means that perfect love casts out all fear. When ever I am afraid, sometimes I could think of this statement that perfect love casts out fear, but then I wonder how am I going to have this "perfect love". It's only that Kai Ting, my caregroup leader preaches that God is love, cause He is soverign and almighty but how can he be perfect love without an object to love? Thus, Jesus is His "object" to love. But He also so loves us when we were yet sinners. Therefore He sent His most beloved son (Mathew 3:17) to die for us so that Jesus can dwell in us so that Daddy God can love us.

So that "perfect love" is not from me, but from Jesus that is in us. Therefore He casts all fear.

So how does faith works of? Faith come through hearing and hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17). It is when we hear and hear the word of God that suddenly a warmth filled our hearts and we experience His love for us, this is when faith comes supernaturally. So "For in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but Faith Working Through Love." (Galatians 5:6) Faith works through Jesus who dwells in Us. When there is faith, there is no fear and have the boldness to stand in the day of Judgement (1 John 4:17).

This means we can have the courage to live our lives without fearing as fear has to do with punishment. Without the fear of lack in friendship, finance and anything else. But have the boldness to expect good things to happen cause of His righteousness.
