Just as I was wearing my shoes about to go out at 10 something at night on 28 February 2008, I heard the news with the Minister of Home Affairs, Mr Wong Kan Seng speaking on behalf of the security department in Singapore. To hear a minister explaining issues means BIG news. After some readings from Channel News Asia, The Business Times and The New Paper, here is the story: Mas Selamat Kastari was Singapore's most wanted man when he was on the run from December 2001 to February 2006. He was the Former head of Jemaah Islamiah (JI) terrorist cell here. Mas Selamat had been taken from his cell to another part of the Whitley Detention Centre for a visit from his family. He then asked to be allowed to visit the toilet, where he escaped. As to why the public was informed of the escape only some four hours after it happened, Mr Wong said the focus was to lock down the detention centre before starting a systematic operation to search for the fugitive and arrest him. That was because the security assessment was that the escape posed no imminent danger to the public. Mas Selamat fled Singapore in December 2001 following an Internal Security Department operation against the JI network here. He was arrested in Bintan by the Indonesian authorities in 2003 and deported to Singapore two years ago. "His mindset is more Al Qaeda then JI. He had planned to hijack a plane from Bangkok and crash it into Changi. Following Mas Selamat's escape, at least 400 policemen, special operations personnel, and Gurkhas clad in army fatigues were deployed to form a human cordon that stretched from Anglo-Chinese School at Barker Road all the way down to Singapore Chinese Girls' School at Dunearn Road and St Joseph's Institution at Malcolm Road. The police line in the Whitley area, with police officers spaced about 10m apart, went as far as Chancery Lane and Goldhill Avenue, near Barker Road, onto Dunearn Road. Interpol posted an Orange Notice, or urgent worldwide security alert, on its website, after a request from Singapore. The Orange Notice means the militant leader's photograph and fingerprints will be issued to each of Interpol's 186 national central bureaus. Orange Notices can be issued by Interpol's general secretariat in Lyon, France, for any event posing a risk to the safety and security of citizens worldwide. Mr Wong said that, 'Security at our land, sea and air checkpoints have been tightened, including areas where there may be a possibility that he may leave from places which are not the normal checkpoints.'He also said that Singapore's attractiveness as an event or investment destination will decline if it cannot ensure safety and security. In the event that you might have information on Mas Selamat, please call Police at 999.
There is a possibility that he might escape to Indonesia, but if he remains in Singapore, if he is cornered (which is most likely since Singapore is so efficient), he might hold a hostage or might carry out a terrorist act. This is super dangerous! And the thing is he looked so common just like any other Malay guy, which means if I were to see him, I might not even recognise him which adds on to the danger. Somehow I have a bad feeling that he might not be so quickly caught. Terrorists nowadays really know how to escape. May God lead the police to caught him nevertheless without any casualties. Amen. 0 Blessed Comments

Watch this lovely movie with Winne and gang. Just as the name suggests, this is just a spin-off with little or no link with the 1st and 2nd of Death Note series. Its more about this preventing of virus spreading to the world. The virus is released by this group of baddies that wanted to kill humankind in order to save the earth's ecosystem. One lady baddie seems to enjoy killling people. Slight twist in the story due to one character change. Overall, pretty funny with the occasional weird postures and actions of L. Less of wits this time round compared to the previous shows. More of humour, actions and emotions in this movie. ![]() L was actually giving in to the kids unlike other shows in which he gave commands and take control. Somehow he appears vulnerable to the kids especially towards the girl. This girl probably is the only girl that got into very close contact with L in the show. The little boy is a maths genius being the only survival in a village filled with this virus who prefer chips (salted) stuff compared to L who prefers sweet stuff. In this movie, L explains why he eats lots of sweet stuff and did several little stuff for the kids. (Source: http://moviexclusive.com/review/lchangetheworld/lchangetheworld.htm) NOTE: For those of you who going to watch the show, DO NOT LEAVE the threatre when the credits are screening as there will be a crucial answer at the very end. It is the bird that leaves the last that gets the worm. Anyway, this show reminds me of the Lamb Gwen Stenphanie perfume at Tangs. The scent smells real feminine. The interesting thing about this perfume is actually the tester slip that they distribute resembles the logo of L: Change the world movie. Wanted to get the slip for my brother but realised the scent is very nice too. 0 Blessed Comments

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. What does the worker gain from his toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on men. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil—this is the gift of God. I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him. Ecclesiastes 3 (NIV) 0 Blessed Comments

Went with Ashlyn, Jason and Ashlyn's friends to clubbing. Did not really like clubbing but since its Ashlyn who asks me out, I obliged. The funny thing is that I drink green tea when I go there. Did not want to be drunk. Drank some super mild drinks like strawberry don't know what la. Have a fun time anyway. ![]() ![]()

As usual went visiting at relative house where everyone gathers. After which went to have dinner at Geylang. We got the venue wrong. Was expecting No Signboard Seafood but ended up in a Chinese Resturant which my uncle and aunt cannot speak chinese. Anyway the food was all right, though still lots to improve. Only managed to take few pictures since I was so famished. Later we went to Coffee Bean to chill. Then we watch the stupid Ah Long pte Ltd which was really bad. The rating is like half a star from what I heard. When we saw it, it really sucks totally. The storyline was adapted from My Wife is Gangster starring Shuqi but Shuqi is obviously many times better looking than Fann Wong. One sad case is that the cast are all quite bad looking with only a couple of eye candy. Some scenes are really ugly and disgusting such as fat women dancing around and these scenes are very long too adding to the yucks factor. Fann Wong's image is like totally spoiled since she looked real unglam and bad looking. I wonder how much they pay her to ruin her image. The worse part is that there is no relation to the audience. Who borrow from loan sharks these days? Certainly not that I know of. And who cares how people look at loan sharks? The usage of some animation is a total spoiler. Unlike other movies who make good use of animation, the effects that came out is like a kid trying to protray something. The market for this show is certainly only for locals and Malaysians. The rest of the world would be the least interested in this show. Its because the previous production of Jack Neo's film which is meaningful and humourous that makes me want to watch it. Anyway, other than the occasional laughs in the movie, the show is totally not worth watching. Well, had a wonderful day nevertheless. Praise God. 0 Blessed Comments

I come across of a way to cook your instant noodles say Maggie Mee. In and in of itself, it really is not a nice noodle to eat. Its soup taste lousy making the noodles taste bad as well. The colour of the noodles seems so white. However, by adding some coconut milk and seasame oil and ingredients like mushroom, cabbage or vegetables, it can taste good though. However, its best to first boil the noodles in a separate pot due the wax content to make the noodles stick together. Take a look at this-------> This is the result of boiling the noodles first. Imagine you are going to drink this into your body. Yucks! Listen up! Its horrible can... Well, after you have boiled the noodles, can just prepare the soup base and put ingredients like egg, mushrooms, or vegetables and lastly the noodles again. Ya... I forgot to take a picture of the finished dish which is now in my stomach. 0 Blessed Comments
