I watched the show ‘Click’ by Adam Sandler on Wednesday with Mel. I had heard many good comments about that show and I must also agree it’s a very good show. This show really knows how to stir up the feelings of woman I supposed. They can make ladies cry one moment and laugh the next moment. Why I say woman? It’s because guys are not that emotional as us and they are better at hiding them.
In this show, the whole morale of the story I interpreted is to cherish your family and also to take care of your health. In short, it is about this guy who got a remote control from an “angel from death” without his knowledge that he is one. The device can pause and fast forward any moment of your life, skip chapters of your life to reach a destination you want. Sounds great? I doubt so and neither does Adam think so. He wanted so much to get his promotion and find that spending time with family boring and tedious. He railed at his kids for disturbing him when he is at work and even fast forward while having sex. In the end, the remote automatically fast forward those chapters of life until he realized that he has gone old. He became the CEO of a company but his lovely wife has left him. His children have found him distant. His father has passed away. In the end, he realized that he is willing to exchange all of the fortunes to have his family.
In our lives, we tend to concentrate our energy on other areas except our family. While, we are young we spend time with friends and boyfriends/ girlfriends but do not devote time to our families. While when people are married, they spend all their lives slogging at work and forsake their health and family.
But have you ever thought when in times of crisis, who are the ones who will stand by your side? When you short of cash, who are the ones who will offer you money without you asking? When you fall ill, who will stay by your side and nurse on you? Is it your friends? I doubt so. Of course I am not saying friends are not important. At least for me, those who bothered to meet up with me or call me or to read my blog (so you are safe, oh but I don’t know you read my blog unless you leave a coment =p), show me that they are my friends and worth my care. It is just that if you are able to show that you care for your friends, why not show care to your family too? I believe they will feel the warmth if you do occasionally express your care and concern for them.
For me, I am learning to show care for them. Slowly, but at least I am heading that direction. Many a times, some people will feel that parents are irritating when they nag. But they care therefore they nag. Sometimes, they just felt that what they have done is not appreciated. Thus the only way they want to capture your attention is to nag at you. Show your appreciation by thanking them and praising them. Sometimes, they are worried that you may turn bad that’s why they reprimand you. Ask them to rest assured that you know what you are doing to let them rest their hearts. Sometimes, they never speak to you but prepare medicine or remedies when you are sick. They may not know how to express verbally their love for you. But now you know they LOVE you. May you enjoy your time spent at home just as much as when you spend with your friends.

Hey gal, your blog is absolutely stunning. Love the color and simple- sleek design. First time reading your blog and i must say the topics you wrote are very in tune with the life we are living in.
After watching Click that day with you, it got me thinking about family ties and how important is it to spend time with your family members while you still have the chance. Maybe it is a coincidence but the day after I watch the show, I received news that one of my close family members has contracted a deadly illness. I can’t help but think maybe this show is actually a wake up call for me to show more care and concern towards my family. And yes, this is exactly what I am going to do.
Oh by the way I really enjoy reading your blog. It is a pleasure to read
Mel: Thanks for liking my blog. Appreciate your comment and thanks for taking time to drop one. Haha. Ya, life is really fragile, one day they may be with us, but the next day, we don't know what will happen.
Desmond: Its not me who is matured, it is the undeserved wisdom that I have received. Some area of my life seem to have light shine upon it. I begin to see life in a different manner. Anyway, I am also honoured to have you write another comment for me.
