Chan Meng, Victoria and me set off to one of the artist's house (Lim Tze Peng). Chan Meng drove us there. I was supposed to take notes, but since they spoke in chinese, I don't know how I should write it. His house was a bungalow near Geylang. His specialisation is in caligraphy. On the floor was a huge stroll of chinese caligraphy along with brushes and ink.
Lim Tze Peng is in his 80s and yet he seemed healthy. His bungalow is three storey and yet he don't have any problems climbing the staircase. This is the works he drew to show us.
Soon after that, we headed to Crumpler. Victoria wanted to buy a bag for her camera. It is only on our journey there then I realised Chan Meng is a Christian. Some of the things he said to Victoria resemble what my pastor said. He said that admist work, one should also learn to relax and enjoy ourselves. Victoria was supposed to rush back to work at first. Upon hearing that, she agreed to do some shopping. Surprisingly, I realised that they both don't really have a passion in arts, especially Chan Meng. At first, i thought people who works in the art museum really have a love for arts. However, it dawns on me that it is not true. I supposed they themselves don't really know what they really like. They work so hard doing things they loathe and the only target is towards retirement. I believe its important to do the things you love and eventually you will love your work. Then we headed to Burger King to have our lunch.
Argh~~ I need a rest. Not going work tomorrow. Felt so tired. Its been nights since I had proper rest... God Bless...
