I don't know what woke me in the middle of the night at 3.30am to blog on this. Its only today I realised how much I have changed after believing in Christ. I remembered never in my life I ever bought a music Cd. No matter how popular what and what band is, no matter how good the advertising of those CDs, they never got me to buy it. And yet, yesterday, I bought a CD of hymms praising God. My concept in terms of finance, health, relationships have also changed. Some people asked me why I suddenly got so much faith. I tell them that God has so greatly blessed my life that he respond to my every call of help. The signs may be subtle and weak that you may not realise it unless you are conscious of it. I also learnt to appreciate life and all small little good things that happen to me. People sometimes dismiss their blessings and moan over things they do not have and ended up feeling sorrow and painful.
My thoughts are different from what they used to be. My life not only revolve over myself. I felt the need to help and influence those in need. I am not saying about those hyporcites who acted so pitiful to gain the sympathy of some kind souls, but those who are in need yet refuse to accept that they are in need. You know, we have to be as wise as sepents, yet as harmless as dust.
Yesterday's message by Pastor Prince from New Creation Church was that humans have to do the natural so that He can do the supernatural. From John 6:5:10, Jesus said," Make the people sit down." This senario was about Jesus having to feed five thousand people with just 4 loaves of bread and 2 fishes. After making the people sit down, he gave thanks and his disciples distributed the food and still remained 12 baskets full of bread. This occur to us everyday. Every time when we sit down and have our meals, we are receiving God's blessings. By doing the natural of sitting down and God do the supernatural of feeding us. I know people might be thinking, that means to say I can just sit down and food falls from the sky? No, of course not. He give you the means and ability to have money to buy your food. The reason why we Christians give thanks to God before our meal is that we want the little blessings of food to manifest in our life. By giving thanks, the blessings multiply, just like what Jesus do before he distributed the food the masses. By giving thanks to the little (5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes), he ended with abundance (12 baskets of leftovers).
One of his message was that whenever you look at Jesus, good things happen. Then some people might say,:" My had a bad flu now, I called upon Jesus to heal now but it is not healed now leh." But when they do get well a few days later, they forgot it is Jesus's work. When you look at him for something, say you want to bring down the plant of curse, he struck it hard at the roots. In an instance, you cannot see the plant is dead. But the next few days when you return, you realise it have withered.
